University of the East

The University of the East (Filipino: Pamantasan ng Silangan) aswell accepted as U.E, is a clandestine university amid in Manila, Philippines. It was founded in 1946. Lucio Tan acquired the university in 1990. UE was already labeled as the "largest university in Asia" already accepting an acceptance of over 60,000 students.

UE was accepted the "Autonomous Status" by the Commission on College Apprenticeship (CHED) which has alone been accustomed to called college educational institutions with accomplished superior education.[3] Some of the programs offered by the university were accepted by CHED as Centers of Excellence and Centers of Development.

UE offers amount programs in business and business administration, law, dentistry, engineering, arts and sciences, accomplished arts, education, computer technology, nursing, concrete therapy, medicine, accommodation administration and alum studies. UE has two added campuses, one in Caloocan and its medical school, the UE Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center amid in Quezon City.
The history of the University of the East starts in September 1946, in a busy allowance on Dasmariñas St., Manila, area 110 acceptance enrolled in Certified Public Accountant (CPA) analysis classes. Papa St. in Sampaloc, Manila. The PCCBA accepted 350 acceptance in the summer of 1947. The afterward year, added acceptance enrolled and added bookish units were organized, and the PCCBA confused to what is now UE's capital campus on 2219 Claro M. Recto Avenue.
PCCBA alumni performed auspiciously in the government's accountancy examinations. Because of this success, the government accepted the PCCBA permission to authorize added colleges, arch to the enactment of the Colleges of Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Dentistry, and the Alum Academy of Business Administration.

The PCCBA was accepted university cachet on July 4, 1951 and was renamed the University of the East. Dalupan became UE's aboriginal admiral and administrator of its Lath of Trustees. Reyes, a businessman, scholar, and above Vice Admiral of the University of the Philippines; Santiago F. de la Cruz, a CPA and business controlling who after succeeded Dalupan as UE president; José L. The afterwards years saw the aperture of the colleges of Law, Medicine, and Engineering, as able-bodied as the Alum Academy of Education. The Alum Academy after alloyed with the Alum Academy of Business Administration.

In June 1954, UE opened a new campus, again accepted as UE Tech, on a 4.86-hectare lot forth Samson Road in Caloocan. UE Caloocan, which is now academically autonomous, is headed by a chancellor. The new Tan Yan Kee Bookish Architecture houses the colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, and Accomplished Arts, admitting the College of Engineering has its own building. The UE Caloocan area accept been acclimated for ROTC and CAT apprenticeship back 1986.

In 1955, the UE purchased a one-hectare lot forth Aurora Boulevard in Quezon City, area it accustomed the College of Medicine. On May 17, 1957, the College was adapted into a Foundation and called the UE Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (UERMMMC).

In 1962 the University acquired a 5,850-square beat lot beyond UERMMMC. This became the Analysis Center for Sciences, Humanities and Culture, which is home to two buildings. One housed the Academy of Music and Arts and the Ballet Academy while the added housed the College of Dentistry and analysis laboratories. The Academy of Music and Arts, now the College of Accomplished Arts, confused to the Caloocan campus in 1981. On the mid 1960s Dalupan commissioned the National Artist Guillermo Tolentino to actualize the attribute of every UEian, the Lualhati from the amount of CBA apprentice Ophelia Salas. The College of Dentistry confused to the Recto (Manila) campus in academy year 1988-1989.
